It's almost time
to cast off the gloom
start a new chapter
in a life brand new
No more threats of uncertainty
done with the venom pool
spring is time to renew
Cast off dark shadows
cast away morose threats
rise up and grab the rope
hoisted there to pull you up
No time for excuses
the labor is full scale
worn and weary now
but we are free...
The first time
dared to defy a tyrant
wouldn't settle
to be walked upon
so
done with crazy
The outside beckons
crippled as it is
the elements are harsh
but there is a glimmer ahead
promising sunlight
and fireflies
and skies
to embrace
the million stars previously unseen
